Supporting Our Veterinary Family
October 7, 2024 · Hospital News

This past week, the southeastern United States was severely impacted by Hurricane Helene.
Our hospital and immediate area were fortunate to make it through the storm safely, but the same cannot be said for other areas in the greater region.
Major flooding has destroyed homes, businesses, and entire communities in Western North Carolina. The storm knocked out power and cell phone service, and many areas are completely without potable water a week later. Our friends at South Asheville Veterinary Emergency & Specialty (SAVES) in Asheville, North Carolina were impacted by the storm along with many others in Asheville.
To help support our friends at SAVES and the pets in their community – First Coast Veterinary Specialists & Emergency would like to share the SAVES “Hilda’s Hero Fund”. Hilda’s Hero Fund is an angel fund that was created by veterinary technicians at SAVES to support pets and families in need. The fund benefits families in need of financial assistance who require lifesaving care for their pets.
Learn more about Hilda’s Hero Fund by visiting the SAVES website or scanning the QR code. If you are able, you may also donate directly to the Hilda’s Hero Fund by clicking here. Any amount helps and 100% of proceeds goes to the fund. If you are not in the position to donate, please share this post with other pet parents and animal lovers – every share can help get the word out.
