Dr. Samantha Fox grew up in Southwest Florida, where her passion for wildlife and medicine took root. She earned her undergraduate degree in Biology from Florida Gulf Coast University, where she conducted research on gopher tortoises and eastern diamondback rattlesnakes. She then went on to obtain her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Missouri.

Dr. Fox's interest in emergency medicine developed during her mentorship at First Coast Veterinary Specialists & Emergency, where she trained alongside our skilled emergency team. She now continues her career as a full-time emergency veterinarian, with particular interests in wildlife medicine, infectious diseases, and emergency soft tissue surgery.

When not in the hospital, Dr. Fox enjoys spending time with her husband and pets, traveling to new places, and staying active outdoors with running, camping, and hiking.
